Sarah knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in which she could focus on helping others. When she discovered acupuncture in her mid-twenties she knew she had found her calling. Sarah loves the field of acupuncture and Oriental/Chinese medicine because it is a gentle, effective, healing tradition that seeks to treat the whole person, not just alleviate symptoms.
Sarah received her four-year graduate degree from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) in Portland, Oregon. During her internship she gave treatments in a variety of settings, including: Quest Center Breast Cancer Clinic, Hollywood Senior Center, Hollywood Square Clinic, Starfire Family Clinic and the OCOM Clinic. She is a nationally certified acupuncturist and herbalist. She is licensed by the state of Washington as an acupuncturist and East Asian Medicine Practitioner.
Sarah is also a certified yoga instructor and will soon complete her training as a qigong instructor as well. She is trained in Shiatsu massage and Japanese style acupuncture as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) style acupuncture.
Sarah uses acupuncture, massage, cupping, moxibustion, Traditional Chinese herbs and dietary and lifestyle counseling in her treatments. She is trained as a general practitioner to treat a wide array of health conditions, and she especially enjoys treating pain, women's health issues, and stress-related symptoms.
